• Introduction to HPHT Wells: Definitions, history, current trends
• Global Standards: API, IADC, NORSOK, OGUK, EI Guidelines
• Pressure/Temperature Thresholds & Regulatory Overview
• Subsurface & Reservoir Pressure Challenges
• Group Exercise: Hazard Identification using “Tornado Chart” Method
Day 2
HPHT Well Design, Fluids & Cementing
• HPHT Well Design Considerations: Casing design, collapse/burst, wear, H₂S/CO₂ exposure
• Fluid Engineering for HPHT: PVT behaviour, ECD management, WBM vs. OBM
• Cementing Strategy: Slurry stability, shrinkage mitigation, compressive strength
• Group Workshop: Design Challenge—Well, Fluid, and Cement Planning

Well Control & Integrity Management
